Hello

I started Lessons Learned in the spring of 2021. My background is primarily in Hospitality, an industry in which I have worked through almost every role imaginable, from dish washer to line cook, server, event coordinator and general manager of several high volume establishments. Additionally I have spent many years in healthcare, ranging from administrative work to end of life care as a private hospice aide. My mother ran her own small garden maintenance company for many years and she is the one who I have learned so many lessons from. I worked with her as a child and through my early adult years, helping during the summer at her clients properties. We had often discussed the idea of me starting something similar in Madison. With the events of 2020 and its impact on not only the Food Service sector within which I was working, but all of our lives in general, it finally seemed like the time to take the plunge and follow Mom's advice!

I continue to self educate and learn as I go. When working outdoors I deeply value creating low maintenance, natural, permaculture inspired spaces that contribute to making our extended outdoor living spaces beautiful and sustainable. In regards to housekeeping and indoor work my focus is simply to help as much as possible, where and when needed. I love coming into messy spaces and setting them right for you! There is really no better feeling in this world than coming home to not only a tidy yard but also a clean, fresh, organized home. This is Self-Care. XoXo.
